Solana is a duo comprising violin and harp. Both of the duo are freelance musicians based in London. Their experience spans solo, orchestral, chamber, session, pop, background music and West End Musicals. Wonderful for many elegant occasions.

Rhodri and Angharad are freelance musicians based in London. Their experience spans solo orchestral chamber session pop background music and West End Musicals.
Rhodri is accompanist to the young soprano Charlotte Church with whom he has performed across the world. He has recorded numerous CDs to critical acclaim and made several perfomances on television radio and video. He has played with several renowned British orchestras including a Prom at the Royal Albert Hall with the BBC Symphony
Orchestra. Rhodri has played the harp since the age of seven. He gained a BMus (Hons) from Sheffield University a Masters from Huddersfield University and a Postgraduate Certificate from Trinity College of Music London. He has studied harp with Frank Sternfeld Charlotte Seale Hugh Webb and Sioned Williams.
Angharad has worked with numerous leading ensembles and orchestras such as the London Soloists Chamber Orchestra London Concertante Ensemble Cymru. She plays with the Magic Numbers on their first album.
Whilst living in Germany, she appeared on Top of the Pops and recorded a live concert with the Backstreet Boys. Music Theatre work includes Cabaret, Les Miserables and Elisabeth.
Angharad has a BMus (Hons) from Sheffield University, a PGCE from Swansea University and an L.T.C.L. She continued on her postgraduate violin study at the R.N.C.M., Manchester and has studied with Diana Cummings, Charles Andre Linale and Howard Davies.

Comments: After searching long and hard for the right live music for my wedding I happened to stumble upon Alive network and I looked through their lists of performers. I had an immediate response from my Alive network co-coordinator and he was extremely helpful. I chose the group Solana as they matched all my requirements and seemed to be very professional. We were in touch many times with ideas and they couldn't have been more helpful. The music was beautiful and the musicians were professional and courteous. Both of the artists we booked were fantastic.
Solana - Everyone thought they set the tone for the day. They played a wide range of music exquisitely. Angharad was very approachable throughout and even played the requests we put in prior to the event. We both thought their rendition of Yellow by Coldplay as we left the church at the end of the ceremony was amazing.
Performance - Absolutely superb. The songs played really hit the right notes with both ourselves and our guests. It was a shame they had to end as we're sure the party could have gone on in to the early hours. The tambourine's were a great idea and were well received by our guests. Most of whom wanted to take them home!! The band were very flexible on the day and played when required which helped as we wanted it to be quite informal on the night. We would certainly recommend them to friends and family and if we were throwing a bash again we wouldn't hesitate in trying to book them.
Many thanks for your help in organising these acts, your professionalism and attention to detail throughout made this part of the wedding preparation one of most pleasurable to organise.
