Profile
The Oscar Berhardt Ensemble plays music from the thirties and forties from an era of Swing Latin Blues and Jump Jive. Covering songs penned by the likes of Cole Porter George Gershwin Irving Berlin and made famous by Sinatra and the Rat Pack Nat King Cole Ella Fitzgerald Billie Holiday and more recently Harry Connick Junior Robbie Williams, Amy Winehouse and others.
The Ensemble's music is very accessible, appealing to a wide range of tastes and people of all ages. Having a large repertoire of songs and styles means they can keep varied audiences well entertained, playing for dancing or receptions and dinners.
From Rat Pack swing, Glenn Miller, Bossas, sambas or Salsa, some Charleston Crazy Rhythm from the twenties or even some Ramsey Lewis style Beatles, this versatile group will be the perfect accompaniment for any private party, wedding reception or corporate evening. Every performance is tailored to each individual audience and occasion. The five piece band love playing and entertaining and always aim to make the party happen.

The band were all very professional, yet they were accomodating enough to let me sing with them. They were very conscious of making sure that they fit in to our day, as opposed to just turning up and doing their set.
All of our guests, of all ages, really enjoyed the music and all were up dancing and commented on how much they enjoyed it. The Alive Network offered a brilliant service. They took in to consideration our brief and budget and advised on what they thought wold suit us the best. They kept in good contact at the time of booking and running up to the date. I would recommend this band, and the Alive network to anyone.

The Alive Network service offered me a plethora of bands and Paul gave me all the information and support I needed. The Oscar Bernhardt Ensemble were very professional and set up silently and quickly - the guests hadn't even realised they were there before they started playing! They did two great mixed sets which included something for everyone.
