Hire Mike for your event and you’re guaranteed a riot of fun & laughter as he expertly captures your guests’ features onto paper. A professional caricaturist since 1999 (but with a lifetime of drawing experience before that), Mike’s work is grounded foremost in the capture of character and likeness, delivered in his trademark clean, confident style.
Having achieved 1st Place for ‘Best Likenesses’ with the National Caricaturist Network two years running, Mike has also performed caricatures in Orlando, Las Vegas, and on Celebrity Cruises in Scandinavia and the Mediterranean. Closer to home, he has appeared at the Everton FC Player of the Year awards, and as a guest on TV’s ‘The Paul O’Grady Show’.

What to expect on the day:
It’s said that people are just as fascinated & entertained by the process of caricatures as they are with the finished article. For this reason Mike prefers to work from a stationary position, enabling everyone to watch & enjoy each drawing as it unfolds. Using a simple laptop easel, this setup also allows him to draw continuously, meaning his time and your money are utilised in the most effective way possible. All that’s required are 3 chairs (one for the artist, two for guests), positioned in a well-lit, spacious area. Artwork is A3 in size, meaning couples can be drawn together with ease, and is drawn & shaded using instant dry markers. Mike can comfortably complete around 12-14 guests per hour if performing in black & white.
Bonus Options: Why not ensure make your big day extra memorable by having a personalised message pre-printed on to all sheets in advance? This service is covered by a one-time additional fee, regardless of the number of sheets printed. Want colour caricatures? No problemo! Caricatures can be drawn in colour for a small charge, with an hourly average of 8-10 guests drawn.
In addition to live event work Mike is available to undertake gift caricatures from photographs, humorous illustration, and character design.
