Hazel's silky voice is intoxicating and rich with style. Singing some of the most popular jazz hits such as 'Summertime' and 'Cry me a river', her beautiful singing is accompanied by a pianist.

Profile
Hazel grew up in a musical family singing her first solo when she was just four in a Christmas carol service. She briefly studied the piano and guitar but decided to specialise and develop her singing career. During her teenage years she sang solo and in small groups enjoying a wide range of styles – from ballads blues, gospel and then found her niche singing jazz classics. In 1996 whilst singing in musicals she was invited, by professional pianist and Musical Director Gary Preston to promote her solo singing career.
In 2000 she was featured on Campbell Burnap’s Jazz FM show, who said “… Hazel has a pleasantly cool approach and easy phrasing…”. More recently with Gary Preston, Hazel enjoyed a sixth month contract singing at a popular restaurant venue. She is also lead singer with a band who perform their own songs, many of which Hazel co-writes.
Hazel excels, by engaging the audience with the intimate warmth of her voice, the variety of tone and the exceptional sense of rhythm. She brings a new dimension when interpreting the jazz classics and other popular songs.

I would like to say that the service I received from Alive Network was excellent. You were helpful and accommodating particularly when you received my request at such short notice. Any queries I had with regard to the booking were answered quickly and you informed me even if there was to be a short delay in getting info to me, which is much appreciated as you can imagine.

Comments: Hazel played an afternoon set at our wedding on 23rd April and she absolutely took our breath away. Several of our guests are members of a Welsh male voice choir (don’t ask!) and they, in particular, were incredibly taken with her & asked if she was a professional singer (if Hazel ever has CDs for sale, do let me know – I think I could sell a few!).
She was also a consummate professional as well as being a beautiful singer and really helped the day to go smoothly by being there when she said she would, liaising perfectly with the best man and on-site coordinator, and waiting around patiently for half the evening whilst our wedding breakfast ran way later than we’d intended! (blame the best man’s 25-minute marathon of a speech & the huge amounts of wine consumed by all!). Our only regret is that simply didn’t have time, in the end, for Hazel to play her second set, as we’d intended. But that was everything to do with us and nothing to do with Hazel!
