The band will play recorded music when they are not performing and in between sets.

BRITISH EMBASSY IN CAIRO
Groove Machine were chosen to perform at the Queen's Birthday Ball out in Cairo this summer at the British Embassy to help raise money for local charities. They were a huge success filling the dance floor all night! They impressed the guests and organisers so much that they have requested them back for next year. (Please see the references section for more details).
EASTENDERS
Groove Machine were in action performing at the wedding of actor Gary Beadle who plays Paul Trueman in BBC TV's EastEnders.The wedding was held at The Park Lane Hotel in Mayfair, London and photos from this star studded function can be seen in "Hello" Magazine.
WARNER BROTHERS - CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY
To celebrate the making of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Warner Bros. Motion Pictures held a party in London to mark the end of shooting and Groove Machine were there to perform to the cast, crew and guest of this lavish bash which was decked out like the chocolate factory full of Wonka sweets!!!
The guests included Johnny Depp who plays Willy Wonka, film director Tim Burton and his wife Helena Bonham-Carter who also stars in this movie.

Option 2: 7 piece band to include 2 Vocalists, Keyboards/Sax, Guitar, Bass, Drums and Trumpet. The addition of Trumpet adds an extra kick to the band and injects a great visual presence to the brass section on stage.

Comments: At the end of June Groove Machine came out to Cairo to play the Queen’s Birthday Ball, the major annual event in the Cairo expatriate’s calendar, held in the gardens of the British Ambassador, HE Sir Derek Plumbly, to raise money for local charities.
I heard them on the morning of the event doing their sound check and it was immediately apparent that l had chosen well. A truly vibrant sound from six very professional musicians making music that caused the hairs on the back of my neck to stand up. At the event they did two sets and the crowd loved them. The floor was always overcrowded with people spilling onto the grass and although it was supposed to finish at 2:30am they carried on until 3:00. They would have gone on longer l am sure, but the neighbours may have complained had that happened. There was a local band also appearing and there were a few numbers where the two bands played together; it is so good to see that sort of thing! Even now, three weeks after the event, people are still talking about how excellent Groove Machine were.
To sum up, Groove Machine are a band that play great 70s music and know how to get the people on the dance floor and keep them there. They are great musicians and lovely people to be with, aside of the music. I have no hesitation in recommending them to anybody looking for a truly memorable night. I have asked them to come back next year which is surely testimony in itself.
